Some of the important aspects of life at the In Down-Town Language Summer Camp are charity-related projects. Participation in such projects not only gives you the opportunity to use your knowledge and improve your English communication skills through individual and group work and gain communication skills in English, but also helps you realize the importance of helping others and developing a sense of compassion and responsibility.
During the summer, children can try different types of activities and experience their benefits. For example participants create something with their own hands and sell it for a symbolic price, and the proceeds are donated to charity at the end of the school year. Today we would like to sum up the results of the 2023 Skills For Life summer camp.
We are grateful to all camp participants and school volunteers for the enormous contribution they made to the 2023 summer project. Everyone was able to use their imagination and creativity, creating something unique. Children prepared delicious sandwiches, cakes, and healthy lemonade. In addition they made bright bookmarks, beautiful bracelets and created T-shirts with their own designs. They learned to work as a team while making new friends and expressing themselves creatively.
During the 2023 summer shifts, the guys collected 221.23 euros. It was decided to give all the money raised to our furry friends, who need our help, love and care – the dogs at the HappyDogFamily shelter .
This mission was assigned to In Down-Town School student and one of the 2023 Summer Camp participants, Daniel, and this summer to our 2024 Summer Camp Leader Jose, which they gladly completed.
Every summer at the In Down-Town language camp is not only a time of fun, games and English practice, but also an opportunity to participate in interesting projects and do something useful for society. Summer camp participants can definitely be proud they invested a piece of their soul into a great and useful cause.
